Louise Spratt

Louise Spratt, yogajala writer

Globetrotter, language enthusiast, conscious foodie and amateur cyclist with a zest for learning and living life to the full.

Previously trained as an English teacher, Louise combined her experience in education with her passion for people and well-being to become a yoga teacher and content creator.

Her yoga journey started at the age of 14 when she attended weekly classes with her mum and the seeds of curiosity were sown. While living and teaching English in Chile, Louise re-connected with yoga on a spiritual level and the practice became her pillar when other parts of life were unstable…

Transformed, Louise traveled to India to learn about the true meanings behind Sanskrit words while continuing her personal and spiritual exploration of yoga. She took her first 200-hour TTC in Rishikesh under the instruction of respected teachers to gain a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy, posture alignment, meditation, pranayama and mantras.

Inspired to help others through yoga, Louise continued her training at the Escuela Internacional de Yoga, where she further explored yoga philosophy with Swami Krishnananda. She has also studied foundations of physiotherapy and osteopathy with a focus on adapting yoga practices for a range of injuries and biomechanical misalignments and has trained with Kelsey Taylor to teach yoga for women’s hormonal health.

Currently based in Madrid, Louise is sharing her passion for yoga in weekly Hatha-Vinyasa classes, delivering special interest workshops and running monthly events such as yoga brunches and park yoga.
